About the Role

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our outpatient rehabilitation team on a part-time or per diem basis (10-30 hrs/week). This position offers scheduling flexibility while providing the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across orthopedic, pre & post-surgical, neurological, vestibular and general rehabilitation cases.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive initial evaluations for patients across the lifespan (adolescent through geriatric populations)
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on patient goals and clinical findings
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training
  • Progress patients appropriately and modify treatment plans based on clinical response
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and long-term wellness
  • Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care

  • Outpatient orthopedic and post-operative care
  • Sports injuries and return-to-function programs
  • Neurological and balance disorders
  • General deconditioning, vestibular and chronic pain management
  • Opportunity to treat a mix of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, similar to local hospital-based outpatient clinics ()

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license (or eligibility)
  • Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered care approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment

  • 1+ year outpatient experience (orthopedic or sports preferred)

  • Interest in manual therapy or specialty certifications (e.g., OCS, McKenzie, vestibular rehab)
